The shift almost everyone misses
The AI models are extraordinary, they improve every month, and everyone has the same access. What's scarce, and therefore valuable, is an accurate, current, governed understanding of a specific business that the AI can safely act on. Anyone can bolt a chatbot onto a company. Building the layer that holds the business truthfully, decides what's worth doing, and acts within limits, is the part that takes real work. That layer is what we build.

And because everything is tagged with where it came from and how much to trust it, you always know the difference between what the system saw and what it guessed.

Parallax · the decision engine
A single AI, however good, has one training, one worldview, one set of blind spots. So for the calls that carry real weight, Parallax convenes several independent frontier models, from rival labs, and has them argue it out: one drafts, others attack it, a contrarian voice breaks the groupthink, and they iterate until they converge, or report honestly that they couldn't. You get an answer you can defend, with its confidence and its weak points named.

Four live research tools built on the retrieval and multi-model review engine described above: legal research, Australian tax, property conveyancing and building-code compliance. Each shows exactly how we build: grounded in primary sources, argued out by rival models, cited all the way down.
legalAsk a legal question in plain English and get a reasoned, cited answer over primary law in seven jurisdictions. Opinions are drafted against retrieved statute and case law, attacked by rival models, and every citation is independently checked against the source text before you see it.
taxAustralian tax questions, answered from the tax Acts and case law, with ATO rulings and guidance pulled live from the Legal Database. Bottom line first, the Commissioner’s position on display, and calculations that refuse to state a rate they cannot source.
propertySouth Australian property and conveyancing law, with the Form 1 vendor-disclosure regime at the centre. Drop in a contract or a Form 1 and it comes back reviewed, with the deadlines it triggers, cited to the section.
constructionThe National Construction Code with every state variation, and South Australia's building standards. Ask a question and get the clause; upload drawings or specifications and get the compliance gaps flagged, cited to code.

Governance & confidentiality
It knows what to trust
Every fact is tagged with where it came from and how sure it is. The system tells you what it saw versus what it inferred, and refuses to bluff on a consequential call.
Your corrections stick
When you correct it, the correction survives. The machine can't quietly overwrite something you told it was true.
Sensitive stays sensitive
Confidential information is handled by its lineage, not a label, so anything derived from it stays protected. The parts that reach the outside world are deliberately limited.
